Good Morning Moon

Rob Dunlavey March 13, 2026

I usually start my day before the sun does. And in my studio I have a clear view of the eastern sky which is occasionally graced by the moon in her various phases. I like to watch it rise behind the trees this time of year when the branches are just bare black silhouettes.

The moon is a useful item to put into any sky regardless of the lunar, celestial, or solar peculiarities of the real world. I’m grateful for these orbs that glow and sparkle. It’a a temptation to use them in any picture that needs a litlle everyday magic.
