This section of my website is dedicated to encouraging drawing in Nature. I’m creating it especially for the students, families and staff of the Cambridge-Ellis School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Maybe it will inspire you to get your fingers messy too!
I have been fortunate this year to have a relationship through the Ann Murphy Artisans Program at The Cambridge-Ellis School. I have visited the school twice this school year. We built and decorated castles (“Crystal Cities”) in November. In my latest visit, we created felt board stories all about “Pointy People.” My upcoming April visit (tentative because of the pandemic) is focusing on observing Nature through drawing and other forms of exploration. Some of the children are already hard at work with their nature journals and exploring new drawing materials. This website is my contribution to this effort.
