I often do sketching for clients in my personal sketchbook. The goal is to keep the professional work as vital as I feel my personal work is. It's a balancing act that many an illustrator knows all too well! The sketch below was for TIME Magazine.

This was for a TIME magazine article on the subject of "Identity Theft".


I try to keep the figures and concepts as clear as possible.


Sketchbook page for May 22, 2007. The image started out with a large blue area at the bottom. The car just sort of happened and the rest was an exercise in accepting the inevitable beauty and power of the primary colors.
